Puerto Vallarta’s International Friendship Club (IFC) is celebrating a major achievement after its popular Home Tours were named among the top 10% of sightseeing tours worldwide by the 2025 TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Awards. This recognition highlights the unique tours that offer a look at some of Puerto Vallarta’s most beautiful homes while raising money for local children in need.
Since 1986, the IFC Home Tours have welcomed visitors to explore three or four carefully chosen homes each Tuesday morning from November to March. The featured homes – —ranging from cozy, traditional Mexican casas to luxurious cliffside villas and beachfront estates – are all made available by generous homeowners committed to giving back.
More than a sightseeing experience, these tours help fund the IFC’s charitable work. Originally launched to support free surgeries for children with cleft palates and lips, the program has expanded. Proceeds now benefit orphanages, cancer treatment for children, and more than 15 other local charities, including the Pasitos de Luz center for children with disabilities.
The IFC also plays a strong role in education, supporting after-school programs in the Volcanes neighborhood and the Vallarta School for Girls.
Knowledgeable guides lead each three-hour tour, which includes round-trip transportation in air-conditioned buses. Guests enjoy not only the architecture and design of the homes but also the knowledge that their participation is directly helping families in need.
The IFC’s 2025–2026 Puerto Vallarta Home Tours season will begin on November 18, 2025, with Tuesday tours continuing through March 24, 2026. Wednesday tours will also run from January 7 to March 25, providing even more opportunities to participate in this enriching experience.
