Hummingbird Week 2021 at Vallarta Botanical Garden
Since opening the Gardens gates in 2005, Vallarta Botanical Gardens has won international accolades as a not-to-be missed highlight of any trip to Puerto Vallarta. In addition to the 64 acres of native tropical plants and flowering trees, there’s always something new to discover!
Vallarta Botanical Garden Founder and Curator, Robert Price, tells us more:
While still reveling in our well-deserved victory as being chosen one of North America’s Top Ten Botanical Gardens by the readers of the USA Today, we are moving ahead to work on even more exciting projects to delight our members and visitors.
Hopefully, sometime in July, we will inaugurate the new water lily pond we’ve been working on for some time now, which will better showcase our Victoria Water Lily, plants native to the Amazon region of South America.
Over in the Chapel and Peace Garden, a new art installation from the Fallen Fruit Project, an LA-based team of artists, will transform the Chapel’s interior into a vision of the Garden of Eden using specially photographed plants and flowers from our Garden.
Also, we are pleased to announce that we have begun to schedule events at the Botanical Garden once again.
Hummingbird Week is planned for later this month and our school field trips run each Wednesday morning. Students at all levels are welcome to visit with their school groups at this time, completely free of charge – our goal is to foster a love of nature in kids from an early age.
Hope to see all of you soon at the Vallarta Botanical Garden. Summertime means afternoon thunderstorms, and the restaurant balcony is the perfect place for watching the rain roll in, enjoying a cocktail, feeding the hummingbirds, or just feeding yourself!
Set to take place July 27-31, 2021, Hummingbird Week at the Vallarta Botanical Garden is a great opportunity for nature lovers of all ages to see, and learn about, these amazing birds and the Gardens that host and support them. For those interested in participating, the schedule is as follows:

All activities are included in the standard Garden entry fee of $200 pesos per person. Entrance to the Garden is free for members.
Visit the internationally famous Vallarta Botanical Garden located just 30 minutes south of Old Town at Km. 24 on Highway 200 and easily accessible by public transportation and taxi. This 64-acre wildlife preserve and botanical garden have something fun for everyone. Over 200 species of birds have been observed on the Garden’s grounds.
