On Saturday, December 13, 2025, Casa Yvonneka will once again open its doors for “Frida X,” the Yvonneka Foundation’s Annual FUNraiser. Known as one of the season’s most anticipated events, this elegant evening brings together animal lovers for a celebration with purpose – raising vital funds to rescue and rehabilitate Puerto Vallarta’s stray dogs.
Located in Alta Vista, Casa Yvonneka offers a stunning setting above Puerto Vallarta’s Zona Romántica, providing an ideal venue for an unforgettable evening under the stars.
The festivities begin at 6:30 pm in the villa’s Star Gazer Lounge with cocktails, appetizers, and a lively mixer among old and new friends. At 7:30 pm, dinner and dancing will take place on the pool terrace overlooking Banderas Bay and the illuminated tower of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Guests will enjoy an open bar, a gourmet dinner, fine wines, and live entertainment throughout the night.
Themed around Mexico’s beloved icons, Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera, the event invites attendees to dress the part for a chance to win the evening’s “Best Frida” and “Best Diego” contest. Tickets are a $200 USD donation, and can be purchased online via a secure link on the Yvonneka Foundation website.
What truly elevates this event is its mission: 100% of all ticket sales and donations are dedicated to supporting animal rescue efforts in Puerto Vallarta. The Yvonneka Foundation, a registered non-profit organization since 2012, has devoted itself to getting dogs off the streets and giving them a second chance at life.
The foundation proudly supports the Puppy Paradise no-kill shelter, where rescued animals receive 24-hour care, veterinary attention, and the loving environment they need. Dogs are nursed back to health, physically and socially rehabilitated, and ultimately prepared to find their forever homes in the United States and Canada.
Beyond the shelter animals, the foundation also provides educational programs on proper pet care in local schools and helps feed stray animals throughout the town. As the Foundation operates entirely on donations, every contribution is meaningful and helps cover essential costs, including staff, veterinary services, and food. All donations are also entirely tax-deductible.
