Arena Vallarta is going to Host the 7th International Charro Championships
Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico – Get yourself ready as Arena Vallarta is to Host the 7th International Charro Championships (Séptimo Campeonato Internacional Charro Centenario Puerto Vallarta 2018). 10 best Charro teams from the United States and 20 from Mexico are going to gather at Arena Vallarta. The competition will start from 1st to 4th of February, 2018.
“Charrería” is one of the famous traditions in Mexico that has its roots back to centuries. In this particular event of the Championships, people come together to show their skills of horsemanship, dance, music, and different other activities. Cattle farming skills are also turned into competitive stunts in Charrería.
In this 4 days of hot rodeo action, there are a number of festivities that you can enjoy. Like every year, people have already reached to Puerto Vallarta to make their presence along with thousands of others. The contending teams will show off different techniques including bringing down rampaging bulls with lassos, jumping through the air onto wild mares, riding bucking broncos, and others. This year, for the first time, a Children’s’ team is also going to show off their skills.
In addition to these 4 days of festivities, on January 31, you can enjoy live music, dance performances, and other activities in the traditional Verbena de Tradiciones Mexicanas at Los Arcos del Malecon in Puerto Vallarta.
Entrance fees:
- Thursday & Friday: $100 pesos a day
- Saturday and Sunday: $150 pesos a day
Note: Children under the age of 10 can get in free if they are accompanied by paying adults.
