I wanted to reach out with an update on the current state of things in Puerto Vallarta.
Things have returned to normal very quickly. Roads were cleared last Monday. Daily life has resumed across the city. Restaurants, beach clubs, shops, and tour operators are all open and operating as usual. Major retailers, including Costco and other large stores, have reopened, and activities and excursions are running on schedule.
There is currently a strong and visible security presence throughout the region, which has added a layer of reassurance. Authorities responded quickly, and there have been no ongoing disruptions in the area.
Conchas Chinas remains the quiet, residential neighborhood it has always been, tucked away from the city center. Our home and staff are safe, and everything here is functioning normally.
We understand that news coverage can sometimes feel alarming, especially when viewed from afar. Please know that on the ground, the atmosphere is calm, and visitors are continuing to enjoy their vacations without issue.
