Governor-Elect Lemus Plans Infrastructure Boost for Jalisco
Governor-elect Pablo Lemus Navarro recently convened with mayors, deputies, and leaders of the Hagamos party in Jalisco to promote collaboration across political lines for the state’s benefit. In the meeting, Lemus underscored his commitment to addressing the needs of each community without partisan bias, fostering a unified approach to tackle issues important to residents.

In Puerto Vallarta, specific infrastructure projects are set to move forward with state support. Mayor Luis Ernesto Munguía announced a 200 million peso investment from the State to construct an overpass at the busy Las Juntas intersection. The overpass will complement ongoing work on a separate road node project in the area aimed at easing traffic congestion. Local authorities, including the Puerto Vallarta City Council, will oversee these developments, with construction on surrounding streets such as Francisco Murguía and Manuel M. Diéguez streets already in progress.
Beyond infrastructure, Lemus shared a vision of tailored support to each municipality. Plans include distributing essential equipment, from ambulances and patrol cars to agricultural machinery, addressing diverse needs across urban and rural areas. Additionally, Lemus outlined an improved logistical plan to supply medicines to community health centers, aiming to elevate healthcare access and quality for Jalisco residents.
Lemus will assume office on December 6, 2024, in accordance with the provisions of the State’s Political Constitution.
The gathering saw support from prominent figures, including Alberto Esquer, future chief of staff; Ernesto Gutiérrez Guízar, Hagamos president; and Itzcóatl Tonatiuh Bravo Padilla, the party’s coordinator in the local Congress.
