Puerto Vallarta to Host Prestigious ATP Tennis Tournament
Puerto Vallarta is preparing for the fifth edition of the Partners Open, an official ATP tournament to be held from November 18 to 24. 32 tennis players in singles and 16 couples in doubles will participate. The tournament will award prizes of $41,000 and crucial points in the ATP ranking.
The competition is expected to attract top players, including the two best Mexican tennis players today, Rodrigo Pacheco and Ernesto Escobedo, and talents from the United States, Canada, Central America, Europe, Africa, and Asia.
The event brings together the best tennis players at the Challenger level, which serves as a platform for players to earn points and leap to the highest level of the ATP in search of the Grand Slam tournaments.
This tournament – organized by the Tennis Partners Club of Puerto Vallarta – has managed to establish itself in the ATP calendar, being awarded in two of its editions as the best Challenger tournament in the world for the attention and hospitality provided to the participants, combined with the great tourist attractions offered by the main beach destination in the west of the country.
Sujey Cárdenas, Director of Promotion and Public Relations for the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust emphasized the tournament’s relevance: “Events like this not only raise the sporting profile of the region and promote the destination, but also generate significant economic revenue.”
