Voter Registration Assistance for U.S. Citizens in Banderas Bay

U.S. citizens living abroad retain a fundamental right central to American democracy: the right to vote. This privilege is not just a duty but a vital element in upholding democratic principles and ensuring that a diversity of voices is represented. By registering to vote, you contribute to the strength and inclusiveness of the nation.

However, many U.S. citizens residing in Mexico remain unaware of their voting rights, resulting in missed opportunities to participate in the electoral process. To bridge this gap, Vote From Abroad offers a non-partisan online platform designed to help citizens utilize the Federal Post Card Application (FPCA) for voter registration and ballot requests, as mandated by Federal law.

For U.S. citizens in the Banderas Bay area, the Costa Banderas Chapter of Democrats Abroad Mexico (DACB) is stepping in to provide personalized assistance. Trained volunteers will be available every Wednesday in September to answer your questions and guide you through filing your FPCA (registration/ballot request).

In Puerto Vallarta, voter registration assistance is available each Wednesday in September from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Let’s Pho PV Vietnamese Kitchen. Additionally, a special voter assistance event is scheduled for Monday, September 9, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Let’s Pho, located at Lázaro Cárdenas 179, Zona Romántica, Emiliano Zapata, Puerto Vallarta. This is an excellent opportunity for those unable to attend the regular Wednesday sessions.

For residents of Bahía de Banderas, voter assistance will be available each Wednesday in September from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Restaurant Bar Miguel Ángel, situated on the Bucerías Plaza across from the Bucerías Letters.
