The 8th Annual Riverfest at El Rio BBQ Restaurant
The 8th Annual Riverfest to benefit the special needs children of Puerto Vallarta will be held at El Rio BBQ on March 2 & 3, 2019. Make plans now to come and enjoy live music from some of Banderas Bay’s best musicians, along with fabulous food and fun – all for a good cause!
Riverfest 8 promises a fantastic weekend of entertainment featuring 10 live bands, fabulous food provided by El Rio BBQ, Barcelona Tapas and Pasta Fresca, a silent auction, 50/50 raffles, artisan exhibits, and tons of fun to benefit Pasitos de Luz, a local non-profit organization founded by mothers of disabled children.
To add to the event Alex Daoud, owner of Alexander A Salon, is sharpening his scissors and will be giving professional haircuts and/or eyebrow threading at Riverfest and donating 100% of the proceeds generated from his stylish services. Get a cut for the cause at a great price at Riverfest 2019!
The fun starts on Saturday, March 2nd at 12 noon and runs through 7:00 pm, and continues on Sunday, March 3rd from 12:00 to 6:00 pm.
A star-studded lineup of musicians will entertain you throughout the weekend as you enjoy the natural beauty of El Rio BBQ’s excellent riverside location – for a donation of $100 pesos at the gate on Saturday and/or Sunday – plus refreshment costs.
Saturday’s lineup of entertainment features The Gecko Band at 12:00 noon, followed by Brimstone at 1:00 pm, Anna and The Others at 2:30, The Texas Embassy Blues Band at 3:30, The Jokers at 4:30 and La Trez Cuartoz at 5:30 pm.
Sunday’s lineup is equally amazing with Piel Canela taking the stage at 1:00 pm, followed by The Cheko Ruiz Band at 2:00, Los Bambinos at 3:15, and Johanna’s Band at 4:30 pm.
Come on down to El Rio BBQ, grab a margarita, have some fun and support a great cause! It’s as simple as that.
Or you can choose to be a ‘Benefactor for a Day,’ and enjoy the benefits of the Saturday Patron Package for just $900 pesos per person or a table of 8 for $6400 pesos. Limited tickets are available for these very special packages, which include:

Sunday Patron Package
If you want a great deal look no further! For groups of four people, you can choose to take advantage of an advance purchase Sunday Patron Ticket Package. The Sunday Patron Package for groups of four offers you:
- Gate entry
• Reserved seating
• Welcome drink (beer, margarita or lemonade)
• A family-style Riverfest Parrillada lunch that includes BBQ chicken, ribs, chorizo, arrachera complemented by beans, guacamole, rice, etc.
All of this on Sunday for just $1,500 pesos per group of 4 people. This option is the only way to secure reserved seating on Sunday. It’s a great value and a good opportunity to get together with friends while providing much-needed support for our kids!
