Nayarit Wins Excelencias Turísticas 2017 Award For Its Exclusive, Gastronomy Efforts.

The event was made to be hosted by Mr.Raúl Rodrigo Pérez, Nayarit’s Secretary of Tourism, where he explained down several key ways of how Gastronomy can benefit the ever-expanding tourism industry within the landscapes of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
He further added, “The best way to promote our state is through its gastronomy, which is our culture, our flavor and our riches. The gastronomy of a people speaks for itself. Between Vallarta and Nayarit our cuisine is top notch and it brings us repeat visitors, making us one of the most important destinations in the country.”

The celebrated presence chef Betty Vázquez, Culinary Ambassador for the Riviera Nayarit, had added more weight to the fruitful dynamics of the event. She has been a global-level participant at the most crucial conventions and culinary happenstances and has always appointed as one of the jury members at the key Master Chef seasons that took place within Mexico since, its inauguration.
The chef was invited as a special guest for the Ministry of Tourism, during the launch of the Mexico Pavilion on Wednesday, January 17 for the ‘great ‘ cause, where she got the opportunity to present a free taste trial of some of the most exotic flavors of Nayarit , together with Mexican restaurant Tepic situated in Madrid region, for the attendees to enjoy an unlimited cuisine session bathed in delicious aroma and colorful tangs, which is a specialty at the Mexican food pavilions with fresh ceviches of Nayarit.
“All of Nayarit is fertile ground, and the ample variety of foodstuff you can find in its beaches, valleys and mountains is enough to surprise every visitor,” chef Betty reported her comments in the end.
The promotional work of the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Bahía de Banderas Hotel and Motel Association, kept the day going with dancing press cocktails that were shared among the top 29 media journalists who attended the event from Spanish media, including Vogue, Expansión, Cosmopolitan, El Español, Tentaciones de El País, Glamour, Guía del Ocio, In Style and Gastronomistas- to name a few.
Chef Betty, on January 19th, presented a Mexican-specialized menu design at Tepic restaurant, one of the joint conglomerate working with the Riviera Nayarit since the year 2011 when it launched its self-pavilion at Madrid’s Fitur, as a token of celebration on the occasion of its 10th anniversary in the company of a partner chef de cuisine, Ángel Rodríguez.
